LEMC is in affiliation with the Evangelical Mennonite Conference in Steinbach Manitoba. The Conference consists of nine regions, of which we are last, making us Region Nine. We are the second of six EMC churches in our region, a church plant of the Mount Salem EMC, in the Aylmer area. In 1990 we began to have singstunde in the Leamington area, with leadership sent from Mount Salem EMC.

Peter & Elma Reimer were sent by the EM Conference in 1990 as the founding Pastor Couple. LEMC had its Chartering Service on June 21, 1992 in the UMEI which was our meeting place for the first years. In November of 1995 we moved into our brand new facility at 108 Mersea Rd. 3 Leamington. In January of 1996 the Mission Board sent Bill & Helen Friesen as the first paid Youth Pastor Couple. In 2001 LEMC did a church plant of its own in our region (Tilbury EMC, now New Life Christian Fellowship NLCF).

In 2005 LEMC began phase two of our building addition. Education and Fellowship the purpose of the addition. May 7, 2006 we dedicated this new addition. It is our goal as LEMC to spread the gospel and enrich the community in which we live. LEMC has provided training in Christian Living, Discipleship, with partnership from Steinbach Bible College. This has been achieved be SBC coming to LEMC to teach and train as well as many individuals going to SBC & Steinreich Bible School (Mexico) for further training. LEMC exists to honor and glorify God in all that we do.
